Jeffrey Carroll, DO is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive hip, knee, and shoulder surgery as well as fracture care and other acute orthopedic traumas. Dr. Carroll attended medical school at Michigan State University, where he received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree. He then completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at MSU’s McLaren Macomb Regional Medical Center, where he served as chief resident his senior year and is currently a clinical professor.
Dr. Carroll is recognized as a leader in his field. He has written articles on partial and total knee replacement, and he speaks regularly at Grosse Pointe Beaumont and St. John Hospital on knee, hip, and shoulder surgery.
Dr. Carroll is board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Osteopathic Association.

My goal is to restore pain free motion and function to the injured shoulder, knee, elbow, hip and ankle using the most modern, innovative and safe techniques available in orthopedic surgery today. I use state of the art procedures that treat injured joints. It doesn’t matter if you are an accomplished athlete, a weekend warrior, an active parent, or grandparent, my goal is to keep you active and get you moving. Every patient has different goals and is unique. I think it is important to spend time together and understand how we can accomplish your goals. I believe my role as an orthopedic surgeon matches a motto that was preached to me through my training. Life is a sport, let me help you stay active in the game.”
Robert D. Swift, DO is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics. He has subspecialty and advanced training in minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, knee and hip as well has additional orthopedic trauma training to better manage fractures. Dr. Swift attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship with the US Army at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and was then stationed in Europe. While in Europe, as a physician he supported missions and troops through out Europe to include Bosnia and Kosovo. He was asked to be the military medical support for the White House Mission to Chernobyl. Dr. Swift completed his orthopedic residency training at UMDNJ-SOM/Copper Medical Center. He rejoined the military after residency and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. He was sent to Afghanistan as the Chief of Orthopedics at Bagram. His service is decorated by the Bronze Star Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Dr. Swift is accomplished in his field. He has been a course instructor, presenter and author on fracture care and on minimally invasive shoulder and knee surgery.
